Italian
Slow Cooker Lazy Lasagna
All the layered comfort of classic lasagna, effortlessly assembled and slow-cooked into cheesy, saucy perfection.
Ingredients
- 1,5 lb ground beef
- 4 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 0,5 cup Parmesan, grated
- 12 g lasagna noodles
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- 1
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then stir in the marinara sauce and set aside.
- 2
Mix the ricotta with half the mozzarella and the grated Parmesan.
- 3
Spread a layer of meat sauce in the slow cooker, top with broken lasagna noodles, then dollop with ricotta mixture.
- 4
Repeat the layers, finishing with sauce and the remaining mozzarella on top.
- 5
Cook on LOW for 4 hours until the noodles are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- 6
Let it rest 15 minutes before slicing to set the layers.
Chef's tip
Line the slow cooker with parchment for lift-out slices, and resting is non-negotiable — it stops the layers from sliding apart.
Suggested pairing
A medium-bodied Chianti and a crisp green salad round out the meal.
