These terms of use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Olivi service on olivi.ca and the associated mobile app. By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms without reservation. If you do not accept these terms, you must immediately stop using the service.
Olivi is a Quebec-based SaaS meal-planning platform powered by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude). Features include:
The service is offered in French and in English. In the event of a discrepancy between the two versions of these Terms, the French version prevails.
3.1 The user creates an account with a valid email address through Supabase authentication.
3.2 The user agrees to provide accurate, up-to-date and complete information. Olivi disclaims all liability for the consequences of incorrect or incomplete data.
3.3 The user is responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and must report any unauthorized access to [email protected]. Activity carried out from the account is presumed to have been performed by its owner.
3.4 The user can enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) to strengthen the security of their account.
Two plans are available:
Payments will be secured through Stripe once billing goes into production. Billing is monthly, on the anniversary date of the subscription. No refunds are offered for partially used periods.
Price changes are communicated by email at least 30 days in advance.
Multi-platform payment model: subscriptions are handled exclusively through olivi.ca (Stripe). The iOS mobile app is free to download; your subscriber status is synchronized automatically with your web account.
5.1 Lawful use: the user agrees to comply with Quebec and Canadian laws, to avoid any fraudulent use and not to circumvent the limits of their plan.
5.2 No resale: the user may not resell, redistribute or commercialize access to the service, nor build a competing service based on Olivi's data.
5.3 No technical abuse: the user may not access other users' accounts, use automated scripts (scraping, bots), overload the infrastructure or bypass security measures.
6.1 The service, its source code, design, algorithms, AI prompts, brand and editorial content (system catalogue recipes, help articles) are the exclusive property of Olivi. The user may not copy, modify, adapt or distribute this content without written permission.
6.2 The user retains ownership of their personal data and of their own recipes (created, imported, or scanned from paper). Olivi obtains a limited, non-exclusive and revocable licence to process this data for the sole purpose of providing the service.
The recipes, plans, suggestions and advice generated by Olive (AI) are provided for informational purposes and as culinary recommendations. They are no substitute for:
AI can make mistakes and produce inaccurate information (estimated calories, approximate cooking times, suggested ingredient substitutions). It is up to the user to verify the information before acting on it. If you have a documented allergy or intolerance, always check the actual composition of the ingredients before consuming them.
Olive personalizes its answers using a memory (tastes, constraints, context) inferred from your conversations and your usage. You can view, disable or delete it at any time in Profile › What Olive knows about me. See the privacy policy for details.
The handling of personal data is detailed in the privacy policy, which complies with Quebec's Law 25 and the European GDPR. For any question, write to [email protected].
Olivi cannot be held liable for data loss caused by technical failures, hacking, user error or force majeure. Although regular backups and robust security measures are in place (see the privacy policy, security section), it is up to the user to protect their own important data:
If a security incident affects your data, we will notify you within 72 hours of detection, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25.
10.1. Nutrition information. Olivi may display nutrition facts (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fibre, sugars, sodium) at the bottom of recipes. These values, like the recipes generated by Olive, are not certified by a nutritionist and are estimates provided for informational purposes only.
10.2 Olivi aims for 99% availability, without guarantee. Downtime may result from maintenance, updates or incidents affecting our third-party providers (Anthropic, Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Stripe).
10.3 Olivi does not control its third-party providers and is not responsible for their failures or service interruptions.
10.4Olivi's total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid by the user over the past 12 months. Olivi is not liable for indirect, consequential or intangible damages.
Olivi commits to:
Olivi may modify the Terms at any time. Substantial changes (changes to pricing, to the scope of the service or to data-use rights) are communicated by email 30 days in advance, with a summary of the changes. Minor changes (corrections, clarifications) may be applied without notice. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13.1 The user can cancel their subscription at any time from their profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
13.2 Olivi may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a violation of the Terms, fraud, abuse, non-payment or illegal activity.
13.3 After termination, the user keeps access until the end of their billing period. Data is kept for 30 days to allow it to be exported, then permanently deleted. No refund is issued, except where Olivi terminates the account through no fault of the user.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and of Canada. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montréal. The parties agree to attempt an amicable resolution before taking any legal action.
