A meal-planning and shared grocery list app, designed in Montréal by Tangram HQ Studio. Eat better, plan without the effort.
The story in a nutshell
You come home from work. The fridge is almost empty. The kids are hungry. You're wondering what to cook tonight: for the fifth time this week. And the grocery list? Left on the fridge, again.
Olivi was built for families who want to take back control of their meals without becoming full-time nutritionists. Our virtual coach Olive knows local cooking, your tastes and your budget: she builds you a tailored plan and syncs the grocery list in real time with your partner.
How it works
1. Your profile
You answer 5 questions: how many people, your budget, your allergies, your favourite grocery store, your cooking level.
2. Olive generates
One single request, and you get a 7-day plan tailored to your profile, your pantry and your equipment. Olive varies proteins and cuisines.
3. Grocery list
The list is consolidated and sorted by aisle (a typical store route). You can check off what you already have at home.
4. You cook
Hands-free voice cooking mode, automatic portion adjustment, smart chained leftovers.
Our commitments
- Speaks your English. Olive talks the way you do, with the words of your own kitchen, and adapts to the products and units of your country.
- Rooted in your food culture. Butter chicken, Sunday roast, poutine, meat pies: Olive knows your country's classics as well as today's trends.
- Shared grocery list. Synced in real time between you and your favourite person. Tick an item and it disappears on the other phone. Nothing to install for them: just a web link.
- Data hosted in Canada. Platform deployed in the Montréal region (Vercel yul1), built with Quebec's Law 25 and the GDPR in mind.
Olive, your virtual nutrition coach
Olive is our AI coach. She was trained on the cuisine of your country and the world, and on Health Canada's nutrition recommendations. She:
- • Builds your weekly plan (up to 4 weeks ahead)
- • Suggests 3 recipes using what's left in the fridge
- • Reads a photo of a restaurant dish and turns it into a homemade recipe
- • Deciphers grandma's handwritten recipes
- • Answers your nutrition questions, without diagnosing (see a professional)

Olivi is an app by Tangram HQ Studio, a Montréal studio founded by Benoit Descary, a communicator and technology enthusiast. The idea was born from a very concrete need: simplifying the chore of meal planning and grocery shopping for local families.
