Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets, skin-on
  • 6 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 1 whole lime
  • 0,5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0,25 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and 1 tbsp of the sesame oil until emulsified and glossy.

  3. 3

Toss the broccoli florets with the remaining 1 tbsp sesame oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper, then spread on one side of the sheet pan.

  4. 4

Pat the salmon fillets dry, season lightly with salt, and place skin-side down on the other side of the pan.

  5. 5

Brush the salmon generously with two-thirds of the honey-garlic glaze, letting it pool slightly on top.

  6. 6

Roast for 10-12 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the broccoli edges are charred and crispy.

  7. 7

Switch the oven to broil for 1-2 minutes to caramelize the glaze, watching carefully so it doesn't scorch.

  8. 8

Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon, then sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

  9. 9

Finish with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and serve immediately over steamed rice.

Chef's tip

Reserve one-third of the glaze before brushing the raw salmon — drizzling the untouched portion over the cooked fish delivers a fresher, punchier honey-garlic flavour without any food safety worries.

Suggested pairing

Serve with fluffy jasmine rice and a chilled glass of off-dry Riesling to balance the sweet-salty glaze.
