Scan a paper recipe

Photograph a recipe in a book, a magazine, or a handwritten notebook: Olive reads it and adds it to your recipes.

The Scan feature turns a paper recipe into a structured digital recipe.

How to do it

  1. Open Scan (from the app menu, or the Scan page on the web).
  2. Photograph or import the image of the recipe: a book page, a magazine page, or a handwritten family notebook, even cursive is recognized.
  3. Olive reads the image and automatically structures the title, ingredients, and steps.
  4. Check it, adjust if needed, then save.

The result

The recipe is added to your recipes, ready to be planned and turned into a grocery list like any other.
