Six languages available
Olivi is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Dutch. You can switch from one to another whenever you like, without losing any of your data.
Where to change the language
- On the web: the language selector sits in the header of every page, and also in Profile → Language.
- In the mobile app: go to Profile → Language and pick the language you want.
Set automatically at the start
On first use, Olivi starts in your device's language (mobile) or your browsing language (web) when it is one of the languages offered; otherwise it starts in English. Your manual choice always wins and is remembered.
What the language changes
- The whole interface (menus, buttons, screens).
- Olive's replies: she always answers in YOUR language, whatever language your recipes are in.
- Emails (confirmation, password reset...) arrive in your language.
Good to know
Language is independent from the region (which drives grocery suggestions). You can use the app in Spanish with the Canada region, or in French with the France region: see "Choosing your region".
Tip
Your recipes keep the language they were written or imported in. To translate a recipe on import, enable the Translate into my language option (see "Import a recipe").
