Where to change the language
- On the web: the FR / EN selector sits in the header of every page, and also in Profile → Language.
- In the mobile app: go to Profile → Language and pick English or Français.
Set automatically at the start
On first use, Olivi starts in your device's language (mobile) or your browsing language (web). Your manual choice always wins and is remembered.
What the language changes
- The whole interface (menus, buttons, screens).
- Olive's replies: she always answers in YOUR language, whatever language your recipes are in.
- Emails (confirmation, password reset…) arrive in your language.
Good to know
Language is independent from the region (which drives grocery suggestions). You can use the app in English with the Canada region, or in French with the France region: see "Choosing your region".
Tip
Your recipes keep the language they were written or imported in. To translate a recipe on import, enable the Translate option (see "Import a recipe").
